This is capacity-first hosting: off-site backup targets for your other servers, long-term archives, video and image libraries, log retention.
The drives are enterprise SATA HDDs rather than NVMe. They move large files quickly in sequential reads and writes, but they are not the right choice for databases or anything else that hammers the disk with random access — pick an NVMe-backed VDS for that.
The disk array has no redundancy — there is no RAID. A storage server should never hold the only copy of your data; keep a separate copy somewhere else. As a backup destination that is normal practice, as primary storage it is not.
The product is in early access and is offered in limited quantity.
You choose processor, memory, disk size and location, and every change is reflected in the price immediately. No setup fee, no commitment, and cancellation is one click in the panel.
You get root on full KVM virtualisation: Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux and Windows Server templates are ready, or upload your own ISO. A browser console is there for the days SSH is not.
For workloads that need capacity more than speed: backups from other machines, archives, media libraries and log retention. The large SATA disks are built for throughput on big files rather than database access patterns.
No. The storage server's disk array has no redundancy, so you should always keep a second copy of anything important somewhere other than this machine.
They are enterprise SATA hard drives, not NVMe SSDs. Reading and writing large files is fast; workloads with heavy random access are better served by an NVMe VDS.
Yes. Memory, disk and additional IPs can be upgraded from the panel at any time, and the difference is prorated onto your next invoice.
